Urea prilled 46 %
Urea Prilled 46 % N
The standard nitrogen fertiliser in seaborne trade. Fine grain, dissolves quickly, cheap to load.
Prills are formed by spraying the urea melt in a tower and are smaller and softer than granules. That suits them to spray application and further processing, but they wear more with repeated handling. The biuret content is the critical parameter. Biuret forms when the process temperature is too high and damages plants when applied to the leaf.
